Loss or Finding

Inspired by the project Where the Sky Widens, I put some of my non-functional hammering works in the public areas: Jewellery Quarter, the canals in Birmingham, St. Paul Square, and Birmingham Memory Hall to interact with my daily habitat. After discovering the works were found and picked by strangers, I felt surprisingly comforted rather than disappointed. Therefore, in consideration of artists working with found objects, it triggers me to question: Does the loss of favoured objects can be reinterpreted as being cherished and loved by others?
